Mohamed Amine Ben Amor

A.G. Kusraev discussing with Mohamed Amine Ben Amor

As an Associate Professor at Carthage University, my professional journey encompasses a significant commitment to academic excellence and innovative educational leadership within the field of mathematics and technology education. Born on May 11, 1980, in Tunis, Tunisia, I have dedicated my career to advancing mathematical understanding and applying this knowledge to the rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Current Position

In my current role as an Associate Professor at Carthage University, I am deeply involved in teaching and research activities, focusing on subjects such as Scientific Computing, Functional Analysis, Dynamical Systems, and Probability. This position allows me to contribute significantly to the academic development of my students, guiding them through complex mathematical concepts and their applications in real-world scenarios.

Education History

My academic foundation was solidified in 2020 when I achieved the prestigious Agrégation spéciale de Mathématiques, placing 4th in France. This achievement marked a milestone in my commitment to mathematical excellence, which began with obtaining my Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Tunis El Manar in 2013.

Professional Experiences

Beyond academia, I have ventured into the realm of EdTech innovation as the COO and co-founder of Campusna, based in Paris, France. Since 2020, I have steered the company towards pioneering educational methodologies tailored for digital immigrants facing the challenges of AI and other cutting-edge technologies.

In 2021, I expanded my influence to the international stage as the Head of the Machine Learning specialization at Holberton School in San Francisco, United States. This role affords me the opportunity to shape the curriculum and teaching methods to meet the highest industry standards.

Furthermore, as the Campus Manager for Holberton School in Tunis, Tunisia, since 2019, I have led reskilling and upskilling initiatives, equipping students with the skills necessary for success in the tech industry.

Research Interests and Contributions

My research interests are diverse, including Boolean Algebras, Commutative Algebra, Functional Analysis, General Topology, Ordered Algebraic Structures, and Operator Theory. Through directing master dissertations and Ph.D. theses, I have contributed to expanding the knowledge base in these areas, guiding students in their academic and research pursuits.

Organising Scientific Events and Recognition

I have organized numerous scientific events, such as the Conference on Ordered Structures with Applications (COSA 2023) in Tozeur, Tunisia, demonstrating my commitment to academic collaboration and discourse. My efforts have been recognized through various grants, including those from CIMPA and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), highlighting the impact of my work.
